Chibi Maruko-chan returns once again after a long absence, bringing with it charming adventures and childhood experiences filled with humor.

Set in the 1970s, the series follows young Maruko and her everyday stories with her family and friends in the neighborhood and at school. Like any child, she loves to play, explore, and satisfy her curiosity through little experiments, sometimes failing, but always learning from them. Maruko lives with her simple family in the Japanese city of Shimizu, which consists of six members: her father and mother, her grandfather and grandmother, her older sister Jako, and Maruko herself. As the youngest, she is especially spoiled and adored by her grandfather.
