General Jarjayes is blessed with a daughter after years of hoping for a son. No sooner does he hold his newborn child than he decides to raise her as a boy, naming her Oscar.

The story begins in 1769, where Oscar grows up as a boy alongside André, the son of her nanny. From a young age, she trains in swordsmanship and excels at it. At the age of fourteen, her father nominates her to serve in the royal guard of Princess Marie Antoinette, who is the same age as Oscar. After much debate, the princess agrees, marking the beginning of Oscar’s journey into a new world filled with thrilling events and challenges.
