Thirteen-year-old Jim Hawkins lives with his mother, and together they run the Admiral Benbow inn after his father dies in a shipwreck. Their lives are calm and peaceful, until everything is turned upside down when a mysterious sailor arrives at their doorstep to stay.

With his arrival, a series of strange events begins to unfold. The sailor is shrouded in mystery, disrupting the quiet life Jim and his mother once knew. Soon after, he dies under tragic circumstances, leaving Jim with a map that leads to the legendary treasure of Captain Flint. With the help of a local magistrate, Jim sets out to prepare a sailing ship and assemble a crew to search for the treasure.
